We teamed up with Apartment Therapy – a lifestyle and interior design community for creating a happy, beautiful home – on a tour of Ruthie Schulder’s home.
Her newly renovated brownstone is thoughtfully filled with Jewish objects, like her ketubah (the Jewish marriage contract) and her grandparents’ ketubah: “My grandparents, my mother’s parents, were Partisans, so they hid and fought in the forest during World War II, and got married in the forest. So you can see there are all these different pens because they were in the forest and they had to use what worked.”
